The property sits within the garden of the owner’s property (Windy Ridge), it offers 2 bedrooms, comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen and bathroom as well as a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden which is a haven for wildlife.
The Hive is ideally situated to explore all that North Norfolk has to offfer.
Syderstone
The peaceful and unspoilt village of Syderstone dates back well over a thousand years and is known for its large common and also its abundance of wildlife. Syderstone Common is of particular note for the presence of a population of natterjack toads, where the rare toad can still be found.
The Common which has SSSI designation is a beautiful wildlife haven popular with birdwatchers, ramblers and dog walkers. The village has a parish church, Saint Mary’s, a large medieval building, and a well-equipped children’s playing field in the centre of the village.
Syderstone lies approximately 7 miles to the north of the market and racecourse town of Fakenham in Norfolk. Travelling west, the historic port of King’s Lynn is about 20 miles along the A148. The Cathedral city of Norwich is approximately 33 miles away, offering a range of cultural and leisure facilities. The beautiful North Norfolk Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is just a short drive away.

About us
Michelle and Trevor are beekeepers and have hives located in the fields around Syderstone and beyond. Their house, Windy Ridge, is the hub of their business of honey production and making a range of products including jars of honey, honeycomb, beeswax polishes, candles, and cosmetic products derived from the thousands of tiny workers that they care for.
The business trades as Ivy Cottage Bees and has a shop overlooking the picturesque harbour in Wells-next-the-Sea.
